Using the wrong size or weight of gear can also lead to injury—for example using a golf club that is too short can result in a strain in the rotator cuff. Using a friend or siblings equipment that is just a little off or slightly too big is a common cause for a sports injury. Coaches can work with parents to advise use of proper equipment used to prevent youth sports injuries.
